Chapter 45

Now that Lin had acquired new words, she began to understand the partial meanings they represented. She named the creature 'Jiebei,' mainly because it had almost clamped the Guardian in half.

The Guardian's entire body was covered in a hard shell, and the part that Jiebei clamped was mainly the middle section connecting the head and tail. The Guardian's tail was already completely swallowed into the shell. Lin released a large number of devourers, directing them to swim into the cracks between Jiebei's two shells.

Lin could see the two layers of shells tightly pressing against the Guardian's body, with the clamped area showing numerous cracks. Inside Jiebei's shell, countless small tentacles were surrounding the Guardian's tail. The heads of these tentacles were sharp, and they had drilled many small holes into the weaker parts of the Guardian's tail, seemingly trying to absorb the cells inside.

But they couldn't eat anything, because the inside was empty. Although Lin had placed many explosive spheres and acid injectors inside the tail to dissolve the chitin, they only occupied a small area. When the Guardian was caught, Lin had already made them retreat.

Jiebei might be puzzled by the emptiness inside, which is why it hadn't completely clamped the Guardian's body.

Lin launched a direct attack. The devourers began to tear at the small tentacles inside Jiebei's shell, and Lin's carrier released more units to join the assault, drilling into Jiebei's shell.

The small tentacles inside Jiebei seemed to have no resistance against creatures of the same size. They were easily torn apart by the devourers, and the giant-toothed devourers could easily bite them off. The injectors injected a large number of hyper-growers into the tentacles.

Under attack, Jiebei suddenly opened its shell and sprayed a strong jet of water, instantly expelling all the devourers along with the Guardian's tail. It then closed its shell and rapidly spun its body, trying to burrow into the sand.

Lin immediately had the carrier extend its tentacles to tightly wrap around Jiebei, stopping its rotation and pulling it out of the sand.

Lin had modified the carrier's water jets, which were now longer and could bend in various directions, allowing for backward movement, turns, and other maneuvers. It could directly pull Jiebei out of the water.

The prerequisite was that the carrier's strength had to be greater than Jiebei's...

Even with the carrier using its full force to retreat, it couldn't pull Jiebei out of the sand; instead, it was slowly being pulled down.

Lin discovered that a large part of Jiebei was buried in the sand. The lower shell of Jiebei was cylindrical with many rings of backward-facing spines, making it very stable in the sand.

The hyper-growers still existed in large numbers inside Jiebei. They drilled into Jiebei's body through the blood vessels in the tentacles,疯狂地吸收Jiebei的细胞并增殖。同时，琳在航母上释放了许多爆球，它们直接撞向截贝的外壳并产生爆炸。

截贝的外壳有一层很薄的透明涂层，具有相当强的抗腐蚀性，这当然是理所当然的，毕竟溶解液是对硬壳最大的威胁。

随后，琳让爆球大量集中并组合在航母的锤子上，一种新的锤子就此诞生了，那就是……爆炸锤！

巨锤触须的冲击力粉碎了截贝的防腐蚀涂层，而爆球爆炸的酸液则直接影响到了截贝没有防护的壳。琳只需一锤，就能在上面砸出个坑来。

曾经被计算为‘绝对无法砸坏’的截贝外壳现在被琳轻松砸开了，虽然琳每次砸都会把爆球全都砸爆，需要重新补充爆球，但反正爆球很多，不是什么大问题。

另一边，暴增者们在截贝体内受到了截贝细胞的攻击，这种细胞似乎个头很大，能将暴增者整个吞噬消化。

这应该是截贝的免疫细胞，暴增者随着它们的出现慢慢败退下来。

不过暴增者已经对截贝造成了一定程度的损害，截贝钻沙的动作明显停了下来，但琳的敲击可没停下，在爆炸锤的连续攻击下，截贝的外壳被打出了一个大洞，下一刻，它将再次迎来无数的吞噬者的攻击。

截贝的免疫细胞再强，也不是多细胞的吞噬者的对手，琳只需轻松等着它们将截贝的体内完全撕成碎片就行了。

期间，截贝出动了一种像是腺细胞的细胞来对付吞噬者，这类细胞会吐出大量的壳质物，将吞噬者包围并封起来，但在那之前它们就被吞噬者撕碎了。

截贝的壳内是一块又大又软的身体，体表长着大量的小触须，而体内包含了各种器官，大多是琳见过的。

琳在意的是截贝的壳。

截贝的上层壳是一个圆盘形盖在上面，而下层壳则是一个一直延伸到深沙之中的钻型状构造，截贝的大部分身体也都是处于这里面的。

最主要的是，它们很硬，琳目前的壳质物组合方式是组合不出那么硬的壳的，研究这个对琳来说很有帮助。

琳还在截贝的上层壳发现了一种绿细胞，它们大量存在于壳内的空隙之中，截贝有许多根细胞管道连接着这个区域，这类绿细胞会生产一种十分微小的结晶块，整体和常见的病毒差不多大，但数量很多，而截贝的管道主要就是在吸收吞食这些结晶。

那个能吃么？

琳饲养的绿细胞也会生产结晶，不过琳每次都当做是废物给排出去，但截贝居然吃这些东西么？

有必要研究研究。

如果绿细胞能产生食物，那琳不用直接吃它们了，毕竟它们的分裂速度不算很快。

截贝被琳彻底研究过一番后，就成为了琳的食物，就连它那硬硬的壳也不能幸免，大部分都被琳给溶解来组合壳质物了。

得到体型巨大的截贝，琳也能完全在航母身上覆盖盔甲，实施完全型防护了。

琳用涂漆者将护卫者的伤裂处修复后，它计算了一下，这次战斗几乎没任何损失，面对同体型的生物，应该算是很不错的成就了吧。

那么接下来……

去哪呢？

琳将目光放向远方，它喜欢去一些没去过的区域进行探索，不过又有一种想在食物丰富的地方安定下来的想法，毕竟到处探索的话也不知道会遇上什么危险。

但总待在一个地方却很没意思，也不知道食物什么时候会吃光。

这样的话，两个都做不就行了么？

让航母安定下来，然后组合出一些新的兵种出去探索吧！

想到就做，琳开始在沙滩中寻找好的地点，很快的它就发现了一块在沙滩中立起的巨石，如果在这块石头上，很方便观察周围环境，而且也不会受到一些埋伏于沙中的生物偷袭。

石头的顶端是个平面，能放下十个航母，感觉不算很大，反正先占据了，等到足够大再更换地方吧。

琳让航母浮在岩石平面的中心，并放出各种部队，在附近开始组合与构造出各种结构，主要是在平面的边缘组成一些防御和捕食用的带刺触须，在平台中心则构造起各种器官。

像是连接触须的心脏血管结构，以及分解食物的囊状结构，分解和组合壳质物的‘溶炼厂’等等，琳要把这块巨石改造成一个活着的基地！

琳不打算将航母黏在石头上，航母必须保持着随时可以移动的状态，因此琳让航母保持浮在巨石基地上方。

琳之前试了一下，绿细胞制造的结晶的确是能吃的，养分效果大概和以前的白膏差不多，那这样就有必要大规模饲养它们了。

也许可以组成一个巨大的圆形台，将绿细胞大量饲养在上面，好让它们大面积接触光线，分裂的更多，生产更多的结晶。

护卫者则负责出去寻找食物，琳也必须制造许多可以离开基地猎食的兵种，光靠吞噬者是不够的。

琳还打算把这块巨石中心挖空，然后在里面塞进更多的组合结构。

不过琳最关心的还是用于出去远方探索的兵种。

到底要怎么做呢？
