Ding Lord’s Residence. In the study.

Mo Liyuan was doodling on the table, it was no grand picturesque scene of mountains and lakes, but a portrait of someone with a refined air about them. This portrait was of no woman but in fact a man. When it came to the time for Mo Liyuan to draw this man’s eyes, immediately one was drawn in by them. From a certain perspective, it might be said that this man’s refined features were not stunning or gorgeous enough. But it was undeniable that his biggest asset and the most striking feature of his were those two animated and soulful eyes.

Has Ruo Hua woken up yet…?

“My lord.” At that moment, someone pushed open the door and entered the study. It was the person from Mo Liyuan’s portrait, Ruo Hua.

“Ruo Hua, why didn’t you sleep a little more?” Mo Liyuan asked with a smile.

“My lord, your humble servant is used to getting up early.” Ruo Hua balanced a tray of teapot and cups, as he moved to the side of the table. Placing the tray on the table, he then poured a cup of tea for Mo Liyuan.

Mo Liyuan took the cup Ruo Hua handed him, his brows wrinkled once he had digested Ruo Hua’s words, “Didn’t I tell you before? When we’re alone you don’t need to use such formalities with me? And that even if we’re in front of others, there’s no need to address yourself as such?”

“Yes, your humble ser… Ruo Hua understands.”

Mo Liyuan knew that it would be impossible to get Ruo Hua to change wholly in such a short span of time, he would definitely feel uneasy about it. Either way, they still had plenty of time on their hands so they could take it easy. It seemed as though recently Ruo Hua was not as cold and indifferent toward him, cough, last night he was exceptionally inviting! Thinking of this, Mo Liyuan’s mouth uncontrollably curved up, looking like the cat who got the cream.

It was only now that Ruo Hua caught sight of the painting on his Lord’s table, and noticing that it was a portrait of himself, his calm expression immediately turned to one of embarrassment, a light blush covering his face.

Ruo Hua’s change in expression did not go unnoticed by Mo Liyuan. He smiled teasingly as he stroked Ruo Hua’s hair, asking, “Is it similar?”

Ruo Hua was not blind to the sincerity of his Lord’s feelings toward him, and deep down he knew it too. Unable to hide his smile, he nodded as he answered, “Yes.”

Mo Liyuan’s palm shifted from Ruo Hua’s hair to his face as he gently caressed his cheeks and asked, “Did Ruo Hua sleep well?”

Once their conversation turned to this, Ruo Hua was reminded of last night… With him taking the initiative last night, he really felt like burying his head in the sand right now.

Mo Liyuan stretched out an arm to pull Ruo Hua into his embrace, and instantly Ruo Hua was seated in Mo Liyuan’s lap.

Ruo Hua’s mind was still on the fact that this was the study, and he felt immensely uneasy, What if someone suddenly came in…?

“My Lord…” Just as Ruo Hua had begun to speak, he noticed Mo Liyuan’s signal and quickly changed his sentence as he continued, “Liyuan, we are in the study right now, can you let me up?”

“It’s nothing.” Mo Liyuan was unfazed as his big hands continued to massage Ruo Hua’s waist, causing the latter to tremble slightly as he objected, “Liyuan…”

“Let me help you massage it. It must have been sore when you woke up this morning right?” Mo Liyuan smiled as he tried to soothe him.

Why does my Lord keep bringing up last night…?

Ruo Hua did not reply to this but continued to keep his head lowered.

Mo Liyuan lifted Ruo Hua’s head up, the first thing he saw was Ruo Hua’s reddened cheeks, the very picture of adorableness. Mo Liyuan could not hold in his desire and slowly leaned closer toward Ruo Hua’s lips…

Alas, before Mo Liyuan could kiss his lips, a knock on sounded from the study door.

“My lord, Lord Jin is here, he’s waiting for you in the hall.”

Mo Liyuan nearly fainted from irritation, this Mo Lijin really was so irritating!

However, since Mo Lijin was his younger brother by blood, Mo Liyuan could only put on a dark expression as he made his way to the hall. Ruo Hua naturally followed him from behind.

“Second Brother…” The minute Mo Lijin caught sight of Mo Liyuan he immediately greeted him with a huge smile. Then he noticed Ruo Hua standing behind Mo Liyuan and excitedly called out, “Ruo Hua you’re here too!”

Mo Liyuan’s face instantly turned blacker than thunder.

Ruo Hua respectfully bowed toward Mo Lijin as he replied, “Lord Jin.”

“What are you here for?” Mo Liyuan asked in frustration.

Mo Lijin’s expression was a woeful one as he continued to look at Ruo Hua, “Second Brother, I’m here because I want to meet my love… Hey hey! Second Brother, don’t, don’t twist my ear! I was mistaken, it was my mistake, I meant past love! Ai, that hurts!”

Mo Lijin covered his ears as he complained, “Second Brother, you do know I’m your biological younger brother right, how can you be so cruel?!”

Mo Liyuan did not spare him a second glance as he began to pull Ruo Hua away with him. All he did was instruct the steward, “Escort Lord Jin back to his residence.”

“My lord…er, Liyuan…” Ruo Hua was being pulled away by Mo Liyuan but he could not tell where Mo Liyuan was headed.

“Let’s go back to our room!” Mo Liyuan was obviously unhappy because of the recent turn of events.

– In their room –

Mo Liyuan was huddled up with Ruo Hua on their soft couch.

“Liyuan, are you angry because of Lord Jin?” Ruo Hua looked at Mo Liyuan before offering his own lips. Mo Liyuan was still in a daze even as Ruo Hua lightly kissed Mo Liyuan’s cheeks. Ruo Hua turned his earnest gaze back onto Mo Liyuan as he tried to comfort him, saying, “Liyuan, you don’t need to take to heart what Lord Jin said just now. The person I like is Mo Liyuan.” Ruo Huo was not good at expressing his feelings, but that one sentence was enough to wake Mo Liyuan from his stupor. He knew that Ah Jin was trying to make him mad on purpose, and he also knew that the person Ruo Hua liked was himself. Still, he had longed to hear those very words from Ruo Hua’s own lips, and now it felt as though his dream had come true.

After saying that, Ruo Hua’s entire face began to burn up as red as a tomato.

“I know.” Mo Liyuan laughed as he hugged Ruo Hua. He continued the unfinished kiss from the study and was planning on doing much more…

“We can’t… Liyuan.” Embarrassed

“Why can’t we? Wasn’t it you who just said you liked me?” Aggrieved

“It’s still daytime… Mmm… We’re having lunch soon… Ah!” Total embarrassment

“Don’t worry, I’ll feed you later.” A smile

And thus, the soldiers standing guard by the doorway immediately fled their posts as extremely dubious sounds began to echo from within…

We’re not dumb, it’s much safer and calmer to stand guard further away! Hear no evil…
