Chapter 1: The Post-Apocalyptic System of Many Children and Blessings!

Five years into the apocalypse!

On Blue Star, in the Yunfu City of the Jiuzhou Kingdom, at the Xingyun Barrier!

"Phew, finally saved up enough for this period's barrier rent." Ye Yunyi returned to his small house, put down his farming tools, and sighed deeply.

He looked at the evening sky.

In a couple of hours, a blood moon would rise in the sky.

Although it has been five years,

the events of that night five years ago are still vivid in his mind.

That day, just after crossing over, he wanted to experience the new civilization of Blue Star!

But!

That night!

A blood moon appeared in the sky!

The entire Blue Star was enveloped in a crimson light.

Mutations occurred!

Under the influence of mysterious powers, the plants and animals on Blue Star grew wildly, and then, as if seeking revenge, they launched a frenzied attack on the human race!

In front of him, a man was crushed to death by a rapidly growing creeper, his head crushed, and blood splattered all over him!

The sudden change left everyone in shock.

Humans suffered heavy casualties.

Order collapsed!

Technology was lost!

It took a year for people to realize that even without technology, they were not powerless!

Some people gained powers under the influence of the blood moon.

Like those plants and animals!

The bloodthirsty and violent animals were called mutant beasts!

Those who gained powers were called mutants!

The strength of mutants would increase over time or by consuming mutant beast cores.

Therefore, various places began to form around mutants, building barriers and high walls based on cities!

To accommodate survivors and preserve the human race.

However, in this post-apocalyptic world,

order has been rebuilt.

Mutants are the spokespersons of humanity, and only by becoming a mutant can one gain respect and power!

Ordinary people like them can only work diligently within the barriers.

Like worker bees, they support the new order's upper class.

Ye Yunyi thought about this and sighed.

He lay down on the small bed.

Briefly feeling a sense of relief for having gathered enough rent.

In the barrier,

people are divided into different classes.

At the top are the mutants.

Next are the rent-payers.

They live within the barrier, not absolutely safe, but they can live in peace, and security is somewhat guaranteed.

The lowest are those who cannot afford the rent and are expelled from the barrier, the elderly, the sick, and the disabled.

Their safety is not guaranteed at all, and the heavy bloodstains on the barrier walls are a testament to their lives.

"In this post-apocalyptic world, even a peaceful corner is a luxury, damn it!"

Ye Yunyi thought, and a thousand curses ran through his mind. He might be the most unfortunate crossover.

Not only did he lack a golden finger,

but he also encountered the apocalypse.

Became a "worker bee."

A curse slipped out!

The next moment!

A light screen popped up.

[Congratulations, Host has activated the Post-Apocalyptic System of Many Children and Blessings!]

For a moment, Ye Yunyi was stunned.

A system of many children and blessings?

[Post-Apocalyptic System of Many Children and Blessings: The host can gain rewards by marrying a wife! The host can gain god-level rewards when his wife is pregnant! The host can gain super-god-level rewards when his offspring are born!

More children, more blessings! The more offspring, the more rewards!]

[Newbie Gift Package issued!]

[Congratulations, Host, you have obtained 6 late-stage bronze mutant beast cores!]

[Congratulations, Host, you have obtained a low-level potion that can heal surface wounds!]

[Congratulations, Host, you have obtained a bronze-level advancement card!]

[Congratulations, Host, you have obtained an upgradable battle axe!]

[Congratulations, Host, you have obtained 1000 cubic meters of system space!]

One by one, light screens popped up.

Ye Yunyi was stunned.

What he was most concerned about were the late-stage bronze mutant beast cores and the bronze-level advancement card!

In five years, humans had established a classification system for mutants and mutant beasts.

They are divided into bronze, silver, gold, diamond, star, and king levels, each with early, mid, and late stages!

At that moment, Ye Yunyi directly used the bronze-level advancement card!

The next moment!

A surge of power flowed into Ye Yunyi's body.

As if his meridians were suddenly unblocked!

He swung his fist.

Boom!

A sonic boom immediately sounded.

This!

Is the power of a mutant!

And this is just the power of a newly advanced bronze-level mutant!

Subsequently, a light screen popped up in front of Ye Yunyi.

[Name: Ye Yunyi]

[Height: 185cm]

[Level: Early Bronze]

[Skills: None]

[Weapon: Upgradable Battle Axe]

After the light screen popped up,

Ye Yunyi's mind stirred!

A giant axe as tall as a person fell into Ye Yunyi's hands.

The weight made the newly advanced mutant Ye Yunyi feel a sudden heaviness in his arms.

He examined the giant axe.

The axe was as tall as a person, dark all over, with only the blade white, emitting a cold and sharp light!

Just looking at it, one could tell how sharp and heavy it was!

What a fine weapon!

Ye Yunyi tidied up, looked at the few green cores, and began to absorb one.

However,

the absorption speed was extremely slow.

"It seems it's impossible to become strong overnight."

Ye Yunyi thought for a moment, then picked up a core and walked out of the house!

Today, he could improve his life!

As for the future, it seems he needs to quickly start the great cause of many children and blessings!

A while later.

Ye Yunyi returned carrying a wild boar leg and other items. Of course, he still had nine mid-stage bronze cores and nine early-stage bronze cores in his pocket.

Equivalent to spending only one early-stage bronze core!

At this moment, Ye Yunyi was walking through the market with his goods.

The nearby survivors looked at the wild boar leg and other items he was carrying.

Their mouths watered!

They worked hard for a month, and their wages were only two early-stage bronze cores, one for rent and one for food like bran and other fillers.

Even so, they were still not full.

When hungry, they could only drink water to feel full.

Some thought about robbing him, but aside from Ye Yunyi's tall figure and strength, they were already weak from eating bran and working all day.

They were too weak to even think about robbing.

Now, they were all weak, and their desires were low. Besides eating and sleeping, they had no desire to have children.

Ye Yunyi returned to his small house with the items, under everyone's watchful eyes.

At the same time.

In the distance.

A girl was watching Ye Yunyi.

The girl had clear, black eyes, a small face with arched eyebrows and cherry lips, evoking endless fantasies.

She was tall and slender, and even in this malnourished world, her figure was still well-proportioned.

Her long, slender legs, though wrapped in rough hemp cloth, still attracted attention.

However,

the girl was leaning on a cane, with a wound on one of her legs, blood seeping out.

She looked ahead, her eyes filled with despair!

She originally came from a well-off family, was a star at school, and had a bright future, but the apocalypse came.

Her family was torn apart by mutant beasts!

She was lucky to enter the barrier and live a peaceful life through hard work.

But yesterday, she was injured while working.

Now, it was almost time to pay the rent, and she definitely couldn't afford it.

She planned to borrow from her neighbors.

But she kept hitting walls.

In this post-apocalyptic world, food is scarce, and no one would lend anything!

Unable to pay the rent,

she would be expelled from the barrier.

Thinking about this,

Zhou Huaiwei shivered.

In her condition, going outside the barrier meant certain death, and not necessarily from mutant beasts, but from being bullied to death by people outside the barrier!

She looked at Ye Yunyi, who had just entered his house, and bit her lip.

With the last bit of hope!

She leaned on her cane and headed towards the small house.
