"I am your instructor, Da Yu Nahan Yan Wu Lang!"

Spring morning light poured through the long windows. Ako propped her chin in her hand, her eyes slanted towards the man at the podium, her mind wandering.

He was a穿越者 (穿越者 means "time traveler" in this context).

He had been in the Soul Society for two years, spending most of his time learning Japanese and its writing.

It was unclear which part of the process had gone wrong, but he hadn't directly possessed anyone, making things very inconvenient and requiring him to relearn a lot of knowledge.

Only after confirming there were no issues did he ignore his colleagues' advice and immediately leave the East Third District, walking for half a month to the West Rukongai to register, and passing the Central 46's Spirit Arts Academy test with excellent scores.

"Class 1-1 is a gathering of the top students from the entrance exam, a prestigious class. I hope that in the future, not only will you join the squads, but you will also advance through cultivation towards the center of power!"

Da Yu Nahan's voice was very loud, as if he were using a megaphone. "Now, starting from the first row on the left, everyone will introduce themselves."

Hearing this, he snapped back to reality, stood up from his seat, and loudly said, "My name is Ako. I like long black hair and older sisters, so I will defeat Kenpachi Zaraki and become the 12th Kenpachi!"

The scene fell into a deathly silence.

The students were stunned, and no one clapped. The few seconds felt especially long.

"Ha..."

Finally, someone couldn't hold back a laugh, triggering a chain reaction that led to the entire class bursting into laughter.

"Ha ha ha." "Does this guy know what he's saying?" "The stray dogs of Rukongai are quite interesting." "He has no idea how high the sky is." "Don't mock his dreams like that, ha ha ha."

"Everyone, be quiet!"

Da Yu Nahan roared, silencing the laughing students. He tried to maintain a serious face despite wanting to laugh.

As an instructor, he was professional and wouldn't laugh no matter how funny it was.

"Ako's ambition is good, everyone, ha, ha, but you should still act within your capabilities. You can sit down now."

Ako sat back down on the bench with a calm expression. He didn't have the habit of hiding his dreams, and the ridicule from these people would only fuel his motivation.

His entrance test score was 6th level Reiatsu, a level that couldn't be achieved without any training, marking him as a genius. His starting point was already higher than that of ordinary people.

He was determined to climb the peak.

The time for those mediocre people to laugh was now.

The next student to introduce himself was clearly much more serious, not as passionate as Ako.

He calmly stated his name, where he lived in Seireitei, and his dream of joining the Gotei 13, ending with a polite "Please take care of me."

His reserved and profound manner, fitting for a noble, earned him unanimous applause.

Ako didn't clap.

After all the introductions were done, Da Yu Nahan noticed the numbers were off. The roster listed 30 students, but only 29 were present, one student was missing.

He looked towards the door and finally detected a spiritual pressure behind it.

At this time, it could only be a late student. "Hey, what are you still standing outside for? Come in and introduce yourself."

"Hi."

The classroom door opened, and a petite girl with a small cloth bag ran in. She had two cute braids and a slightly chubby face. She bowed and said, "My name is Hiyoshibara Mom, from the West First District, Rinkan An. Please take care of me."

She tried to shrink her shoulders and slip into the only empty seat to avoid punishment.

Da Yu Nahan slapped the desk and roared, "On the first day of school, you're late, and you still want to sit in class? Go stand in the back as punishment!"

"Hi." Hiyoshibara Mom shrank her shoulders, not giving any reason for her tardiness. From the look of this teacher, any excuse would make him angry.

Unless she could come up with a good background.

"You all remember, as students, you must strictly adhere to the rules, not be late, skip class, or be inattentive during class."

Da Yu Nahan's anger hadn't subsided, and he continued with a long lecture on discipline.

Ako let the words go in one ear and out the other. This was his passive skill, filtering out all the unwanted chatter.

"Next, take out the Shinigami Handbook from your desk drawers."

Da Yu Nahan finally skipped the student education and began the lesson.

Ako reached into his desk drawer, took out the Shinigami Handbook, and opened it to the first page, which recorded a passage.

"Do not pursue the aesthetics of clashing blades, do not pursue the virtue of dying without returning, and do not consider only your own life.

If you wish to protect the King and the Five Dukes, then you must slaughter all enemies from the shadows."

"Remember this well. The King and the Five Dukes refer to the Spirit King and the five noble families, who have existed since the birth of this world.

Protecting the King and the Five Dukes is the mission of all Shinigami!"

Da Yu Nahan didn't start teaching power directly but followed the procedure, first conducting a lesson on ideological education to prevent the cultivation of rebels against the Central 46 Chambers.

Ako wasn't interested in listening to this. He knew the true history of the Soul Society better than Da Yu Nahan and flipped a few pages back.

The book detailed the grandeur of the King and the Five Dukes, the nobility of the upper-class nobles, the rules they followed, and the meanings of their accessories.

For example, when you see a man with a silver-white strip of hair, you must understand that the hair accessory is called a Kanshin Clamp.

Only the upper-class nobles are allowed to wear it, and you must not show any disrespect to that noble.

You must bow your head and speak humbly...

The more Ako read, the more he felt that this book should be renamed the Shinigami Flattery Handbook, as it better reflected the content.

Not just a few pages, he quickly flipped to the last page, which was all about how great the nobles were, with no practical combat knowledge written at all.

He was truly grateful that he had chosen a seat in the first row.

Even if he wanted to doze off, he couldn't. He had to force himself to absorb this unnecessary knowledge.

According to Da Yu Nahan, these were all essential for future exams.

Being a Shinigami isn't just about having the right abilities; it also requires passing the ideological and moral standards.

The Gotei 13 is a sacred organization that cannot be tainted by even a hint of evil.

Entering the Central 46's Spirit Arts Academy doesn't guarantee becoming a Shinigami; it only grants the internship qualification.

During the one-year internship, those who don't meet the standards will be dismissed. Only those who make it through will be considered true Shinigami.

"If you don't want to be eliminated, you must study all the courses over the next six years and pass every one. Failing any course will naturally lower your evaluation compared to others."

Da Yu Nahan glanced at Ako and said with a slightly relaxed tone, "Of course, if you want to join the 11th Division, that's a different story.

It's an extremely brutal division, always in battle, focusing more on strength, and other standards will be slightly lower."

"Ha ha..." Some students laughed again.

Da Yu Nahan didn't scold them loudly but clapped his hands and said, "That's all for the cultural lesson. Next, we will begin our formal training. Everyone, follow me to the Kido training ground!"
