This is the third episode of the new series!

The opening remarks by the school's top figure, Principal Fujido Raidou, ended, and the congratulatory speeches by the guests followed (which I will omit here).

The principal is a handsome middle-aged man. I'll repeat that, the principal is a handsome middle-aged man. It's important, so I said it twice.

More importantly, since the guests' speeches have also ended, I'll focus on the student council president who has stepped up to the podium.

Her name is Fujido Sakuya.

As her surname suggests, she is the principal's only daughter.

And... she is the boss character who stands in front of the protagonist just before the final chapter of the story.

However, while I am a minor character, she is positioned as the ultimate character who stands in the way just before the final boss.

And, among the female characters in this game, she is the only one who does not become the protagonist's companion.

Even the teachers and married women become the protagonist's companions (or rather, his girlfriends).

I haven't read all of the 'strategy site' yet, so I don't know, but maybe there's a reason for her too.

"Besides, all the main female characters are so cute."

While I was looking at the student council president's dignified figure, I thought to myself.

Of course, a representative of the first year will give a response... but since he's a guy, I'll ignore him.

The ceremony ended successfully, and we left amidst applause. Then, we moved to the classroom and took our seats.

After the teacher introduced herself, we all responded in unison.

"Then, let's have each of you introduce yourselves in order by your student numbers. Oh, and while you're at it, please summon your spirit and introduce it briefly."

And so, the self-introductions of my classmates began.

But... everyone's spirits are either really cool or really cute.

That's the protagonist's friend character, introducing himself in a light-hearted manner.

But, as expected of a main character, the spirits they command are generally very powerful... unlike my [Gobmi].

"Hehe... I am Cecil Kizaki. My spirit is [Gruveig]. Please take care of me."

One of the main heroines, bowing politely.

Naturally, the male students are captivated by her appearance. Of course, I am too.

According to the 'strategy site,' her spirit has holy and light attribute skills... in other words, it specializes in healing.

The self-introductions continued, and it was finally my turn.

Well, everyone's spirits are amazing, but my [Gobmi] is...!

And then.

"I, I'm Yohai Mochizuki! My spirit is [Gobmi]...!"

Damn, I bit my tongue.

More importantly... why is everyone so silent?

"Ha"

"Ha ha"

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

One of my classmates burst out laughing, and everyone else joined in, laughing loudly.

Huh? Huh? Was it that funny that I bit my tongue?

"What the hell is that spirit! It's just a goblin!"

"And did you hear? Its name is [Gobmi]! Hilarious!"

...Everyone finds my [Gobmi] that funny.

With its shoulders slumped, [Gobmi] disappeared from the spot as I instructed.

"Man, thanks to that goblin, the next self-introduction is going to be a lot easier!"

The self-introductions of my classmates continued.

Meanwhile, I stared at my desk, head down.

"Okay, now that the self-introductions are over, I'll distribute these to everyone."

The teacher held up a smartphone.

"Teacher! We already have smartphones!"

"Hehehe, this isn't a smartphone. This small device is called a 'Geist Leader.' It's a special model that allows you to check your school activity records and your spirit's status!"

"Wow!"

The class erupted in cheers.

Indeed, being able to see your spirit's status is impressive.

"Please come up in order by your student numbers to receive one."

We went up to the teacher one by one and received the device.

"Everyone has received one. Now, please follow my instructions to operate your Geist Leader."

We followed the teacher's instructions, and a status sheet appeared on the screen.

Of course, it was still blank.

"Next, please summon your spirit and have it touch the screen to determine its status."

I have to summon [Gobmi] again... I don't really want to...

While I was hesitating, holding the device, everyone else was summoning their spirits and touching the screen.

"Wow! My [Trickster] is pretty strong!"

"Wow! Kizaki's spirit has amazing stats!"

"Hehe, thank you."

Everyone was showing off their spirits' stats to each other.

Maybe now I can do it without drawing too much attention.

I quietly moved to the corner of the classroom and summoned [Gobmi].

"Hey, look! He's going to determine the status of a goblin!"

My friend character, Kawai, pointed at me and shouted.

"Really? I'm so curious!"

"Well, it's a goblin, so I bet its stats are low. Maybe even the weakest?"

"Ha, that's why it's funny!"

"Teacher, can I determine my spirit's status at home...?"

I timidly asked the teacher.

The teacher refused my request without giving me a chance to argue.

"...[Gobmi], touch the screen."

Following my instructions, [Gobmi] touched the screen.

Kawai, feeling cocky, kept pestering me.

At that moment.

For some reason, the class representative, Yuki, snatched my Geist Leader.

"Give it back!"

"...Huh, goblins really are weak."

After muttering that, she seemed to lose interest and handed the device back to me.

"Hey, hey, what were the stats?"

"...Attribute is goblin, level 3, strength G, magic G, endurance G... 'Stop it!'"

I shouted to cut off Yuki's words.

What's he trying to do?

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Really, it's so weak!"

"My stomach...!"

"Ha, hilarious...!"

With [Gobmi]'s stats exposed by Yuki, the whole class burst into laughter.

"Hey, hey, you shouldn't say things like that! ...Ha ha"

The teacher pretended to scold them but was struggling to hold back her laughter.

"!"

I grabbed my bag from the desk and fled the classroom amidst the laughter.
