After buying two large bags of instant food, Li Chong planned to return to the apartment to come up with a script idea. As long as he could find the inspiration, he could sketch out the script's outline. After all, he wasn't a god; the ideas he had now might be forgotten in two or three months. He could only jot down the general ideas for now, and when the time came, he could fill in the details as long as he had the main framework.
Li Chong was completely focused on what script he was going to write and didn't notice that after he arrived at the apartment building, a small head on the ninth floor was watching him.
"Who could this person be? Why do I feel like I know him? It seems like I've seen him somewhere. Could he really be a neighbor in this building?" Yoon Ah kept thinking about who that person was, but she couldn't figure it out. Just as she was tidying up her dorm room and preparing to go out for a walk, she looked downstairs and saw that the car from earlier had returned. A man was carrying two large bags toward the building entrance.
Yoon Ah was hesitating about whether to go out and take a look. She really wanted to know who this person, who looked so familiar, was. "I'll just go see which floor he's on. It's probably a neighbor we often see," she said to herself.
Just as Yoon Ah unlocked the door but hadn't opened it yet, she heard the elevator ding and stop on the 9th floor. The elevator doors opened with a whoosh, and Yoon Ah froze. "It's our neighbor. Right, we've never visited this neighbor before. I even thought he was a creepy uncle for a while. Should we get to know each other?" Yoon Ah was hesitating, after all, she was alone in the dorm. If this neighbor did something to her, she wouldn't be able to resist.
While Yoon Ah was still conflicted, Li Chong's phone rang. "Hello, Brother Zhang Xun, what do you want? You're not going back on the vacation, are you?"
Yoon Ah's head buzzed, and she was completely dazed. "Li Chong, it's Uncle Li Chong. How could it be him? How could he be living next door to us..." Yoon Ah felt like she was about to lose her mind, her brain was in a state of shutdown.
Li Chong mumbled a few words in response to what Zhang Xun said. He put down the bags of food and was about to take out his keys to open the door. Li Chong felt like someone was watching him; his intuition was always accurate. He turned around and looked left and right but didn't see anyone. Just as he was about to turn and open the door, the motion-activated light in the hallway went out, and a sliver of light leaked out from the opposite apartment door.
Li Chong was startled. Could someone have broken into the Girls' Generation dorm? If some of their private items were found, it could be bad for their careers. If something was stolen, it would be even worse.
Without thinking, Li Chong rushed to the Girls' Generation dorm room and opened the door. A white figure suddenly lunged out from inside. Without hesitation, Li Chong grabbed the person's wrist with one hand and was about to punch the person in the face with the other.
"Ouch, it hurts..." Yoon Ah was startled by Li Chong's sudden action. The pain in her wrist made her cry out. If Li Chong's punch landed on her face, it would be even worse.
"Ugh!" A gust of wind from Li Chong's punch blew away the hair covering Yoon Ah's face. Just as Li Chong was about to hit her, he heard Yoon Ah's cry. "Why are you sneaking around in your own home?" Li Chong let go of Yoon Ah's wrist, feeling a bit speechless.
"Um, you know it's my home, so why did you do that to me?" Yoon Ah rubbed her wrist, tears welling up in her eyes.
Li Chong looked at the pitiful Yoon Ah and felt like laughing. "You were spying on me, and you think you have a reason? If I hadn't held back, you'd probably be lying on the ground right now."
At this, Yoon Ah's tears flowed even more, like an endless faucet. Li Chong felt a pang of sympathy. "Um, I'm sorry, okay? Miss Yoon Ah, you're a big beauty, don't take it to heart, okay?"
After Li Chong said this, Yoon Ah's tears flowed even more. She rubbed her wrist and squatted on the ground, crying pitifully, which made Li Chong feel both heartache and sympathy.
"I sincerely apologize, I was wrong, okay? What do you want? I'll agree to anything," Li Chong was at a loss. He couldn't stand seeing girls cry. If it were someone he didn't know, he might have ignored it and left, but this was Girls' Generation, this was Yoon Ah.
"You... you... really... will agree to anything... and tell me anything?" Yoon Ah said with a sob.
Li Chong quickly nodded, "Yes, as long as you stop crying, I'll agree to anything."
"Ha ha ha, okay, Uncle Li Chong, take me to tour your apartment!" Yoon Ah immediately changed her attitude, from a pitiful cry to a joyful laugh, no longer the pitiful girl from before.
"You... you..." Li Chong couldn't think of anything to say. He was a director who taught actors how to act, but he was fooled by an idol singer. How could he not be frustrated?
"Um, I know I'm beautiful, and I know I'm a good actress. Uncle Li Chong, you really won't let me see your home?" Yoon Ah started off well but then became pitiful again.
Li Chong rubbed his nose and suddenly laughed. This little girl was quite interesting! "Okay, come in, help me carry the things." Li Chong turned around and ignored the still acting pitiful Yoon Ah, opened the door, and walked straight in.
Seeing that Li Chong wasn't paying attention to her, Yoon Ah wiped the tears from her face, picked up the two bags of food Li Chong left at the door, and easily carried them inside.
Yoon Ah started looking around the room and put the food down in the kitchen. "Uncle Li Chong, your place really looks like the one on the show."
"Help yourself to the water in the fridge. Sit down, I have some things to take care of," Li Chong's voice came from the bedroom. It turned out that Zhang Xun had asked him to send the information about the shooting location for the last scene, Yongjong Island, which Li Chong had already collected.
Yoon Ah opened the fridge and saw a few bottles of water and two ice creams. "Uncle, I want to eat ice cream." She took one out and started eating it.
Li Chong didn't respond to Yoon Ah's voice. He figured he'd have to explain it again later, so he didn't waste his breath now.
In less than five minutes, Li Chong appeared in the living room. "Speak up, what do you want to ask?"
Yoon Ah said uncooperatively, "I'm hungry, make me something to eat first..."
Li Chong rolled his eyes. "Instant noodles or instant rice? I only have these two options."
"Uncle, instant rice!" Yoon Ah said happily.
Li Chong went to the kitchen to boil water, then took out a box of instant rice and poured the hot water into it, waiting for the chemical reaction to heat the rice. "Eat up!" Li Chong placed the instant rice in front of Yoon Ah.
Yoon Ah didn't hesitate and started eating. "Uncle, tell me, what are you hiding in our next door for..."
