Chapter 7: Calculations

Thinking of Chu Yunyi, Sun Mother's face was filled with anger: "Who else could it be, if not that low-life Chu Yunyi?"

Sun Xiaoyan, frightened, ran to the door and peeked outside. Fortunately, there was no one, so she whispered, "Mom, be a bit quieter. What if the neighbors hear? If Yunyi finds out, it might ruin Third Brother's plans."

Sun Mother sighed: "I know. By the way, where's your Third Brother?"

Seeing her mother had listened, Sun Xiaoyan felt relieved: "I don't know. He's on a long shift, so he probably went out to find his friends."

Thinking of something, she leaned closer to her mother: "Mom, I heard that the people who helped Yunyi with Grandpa Chu's funeral are quite influential.

If they find out about Yunyi's plans to go to the countryside, will they cause us trouble?"

Sun Mother listened to her daughter: "You're right. Later, you and your Third Brother should go over and try to get some information from that little wretch."

Sun Xiaoyan didn't really want to go. The courtyard had just held a funeral, and she found it ominous. She replied half-heartedly, "I know."

However, we need to be careful and not get our family involved."

Sun Xiaoyan laughed: "With Third Brother handling it, what can't be resolved? With Chu Yunyi's infatuation with him, he can make her do anything he wants."

At this, Sun Mother became unhappy: "That good-for-nothing Third Brother, I don't know what he's been up to lately. He's always running around and doesn't take the opportunity to secure her."
