After returning from the labyrinth to the mansion the next morning, I sent Dyne and the others, who had thoroughly finished their drinks, back and summoned Bell and the group for breakfast.

“Bell defeated ghosts!” “Kyukyukyuu!”

While raising a piece of bread triumphantly, Bell and Rain reported their achievements. Ah, so Bell and Rain defeated the ghosts for the animals. I didn’t think animals could defeat Reis and the ghosts, so it was the right decision to send them as escorts.

“Created a safe home for Mofumofu.” “Kuuu.”

It seems that Turu and Tamamo improved the Mofumofu Kingdom. I didn’t get close to it because the animals were on guard, so their help in improving it is appreciated.

“That’s right. Thank you, Bell, Rain, Turu, and Tamamo.”

Although it was in the middle of breakfast, I praised Bell and the others who gathered around me. I suppose I should scold them for making a commotion during the meal, especially in front of Sarah. I have to be careful.

“Everyone, remember not to make too much noise during meals. Let’s finish eating before we start moving.”

“Yes.” “Kyuu.” “Okay.” “Kuu.”

Bell and the others understood well and returned to their original places to resume breakfast. They are obedient children, so it should be fine from now on. While listening to Bell and Sarah’s conversation, I slowly finish my breakfast.

After a little relaxation, Sebastian comes to tell me that Marie wants to meet. Come to think of it, he mentioned the possibility of her coming in the morning. She really came.

It feels a bit odd to say she came to her own separate residence, but well, it’s fine. I follow Sebastian’s guidance and head to the room where Marie is waiting.

“Yuta-san, I apologize for the early hour. I understand you just returned from the labyrinth, but there is a matter concerning the raw materials…”

She bows her head apologetically. She must be considering my feelings. If Marie’s self-restraint didn’t work, she might have come flying here in the middle of the night. She still looks energetic and full of life.

“No, it’s alright. You want to buy the raw materials, right? Should we head to the warehouse?”

I leave Sarah and Bell to guard the place and go to the warehouse with Marie in a carriage, accompanied by Silphy.

“Yuta-san, did you get any materials other than the Fire Dragon?”

Um, about the ones I’m going to sell… I should keep the treasure out of it; after all, just the Fire Dragon materials alone would fetch over a billion. Carrying too much cash could cause issues.

“The materials I plan to sell this time are Assault Dragon and Fire Dragon, Sea Serpent and its subspecies, Swordfish, and Great Swordfish. Also, I brought Divine god Grass. I can also sell Magic Power Grass and All-Purpose Grass.”

“Sea Serpent’s subspecies? Great Swordfish? Divine god Grass? …Uhuhuhu!”

Oh my, her eyes are gleaming with greed. I don’t think it’s good for a young lady to have such a face.

“Yuta, this girl is amazing. I’ve seen many people consumed by greed, but I’ve never seen someone so pure before.”

Silphy says with an amused look while glancing at Marie. Is that a compliment? Somehow, I feel like things might turn sour if this goes on.

“Marie, Marie, come back to us.”

I grasp both of Marie’s shoulders and shake her gently.

“Ah, Yuta-san? Yes, I’m sorry.”

Her eyes light up as if she came back to her senses, and she wipes her mouth apologetically. Was she on the verge of drooling or something?

“It’s okay, but I have something to ask, so please stop spacing out.”

“Yes, I’m fine now. So, what do you want to ask?”

“Can Sea Serpent be eaten? Is it delicious?”

What is important to me now is just that. Honestly, I’m not worried about the raw materials because there seem to be many amazing ones.

“Sea Serpent, you say? I haven’t tasted it myself, but from what I’ve heard, it has a texture similar to roughbird meat. It seems to be tastier than regular snake meat, but it has a strong flavor.”

Snake meat… Oh, right, Sea Serpent is a type of snake… I wouldn’t mind eating snake meat if it’s delicious, but I’m not really fond of strongly flavored snake meat. Nevertheless, I’ll take a little just in case.

“Is that so? Then, please divide some Sea Serpent and its subspecies’ materials for me. As for the Swordfish, I’ll take the part containing Orichalcum, about half of the total, and the rest will be the tongues and meat of the Assault Dragon and the Fire Dragon.”

At first, I was planning to take all the meat, but considering its enormous size, half should be more than enough. Besides, if the meat doesn’t circulate in the market, it might raise some questions.

“The amount of meat will be considerable, are you sure about that?”

“Yes, I have plans to consume it, so it’s fine.”

We’ll store it in the magic bag and eat it gradually.

“I see, that’s good then.”

Marie’s face shows a longing expression, as if she wanted more meat.

Upon arrival at the warehouse, I follow Marie’s instructions and start laying out the materials in the spacious warehouse. Every time I bring out something, Marie exclaims in awe, but let’s just ignore that.

“Look at all these Swordfish…”

For now, I took out three hundred Swordfish. However, only a small amount of Orichalcum can be obtained from one fish, about the size of a sesame seed. Three hundred of those… It’s hard to imagine, but it won’t be more than what can be held in one hand. How many Swordfish do I need to defeat to make an Orichalcum armor?

“This should be the last of the swordfish. What about the Divine god Grass? Should I also bring out the Magic Power Grass and the All-Purpose Grass?”

“Absolutely! Please.”

“Understood.”

I bring out the Divine god Grass in a similar amount to the Magic Power Grass and All-Purpose Grass. Divine god Grass thrives in the underwater area, so there’s a large quantity of it.

“Th-this is the Divine god Grass. How divine!”

Marie is gazing at the four-leaf clover in a trance. Personally, I think the five-leaf clover that’s said to bring good luck in wealth would suit Marie better.

“That’s everything. There are quite a lot of monster materials, are you okay with that?”

Since I brought in a large number of materials from the marshlands, I’m sure the employees at Porurius Trading Company will be making a fuss. Now, with even more materials…

“No problem at all. We’ve increased our staff, so we can handle it with ease.”

Marie nods confidently. It seems she took proper measures.

“By the way, Yuta-san, since you got the Divine god Grass, does that mean you went to the sea? I apologize for suddenly bringing this up, but can’t you obtain seafood?”

“Hmm, it’s not impossible to get seafood. Why do you ask?”

As I respond, Marie’s face brightens up. It’s a bit different from her usual greedy expression.

“The city of the labyrinth is far from the sea, so it’s difficult to obtain seafood. While it may not fetch prices as high as monster materials, there are still many people who would be pleased to have seafood in supply. I know it would take time to escape from the labyrinth, but could you manage it, Yuta-san? Of course, I don’t mean to push you, so it’s fine if you feel like it.”

Come to think of it, I don’t remember ever eating fish in the labyrinth city. In the Land of death, we mainly relied on seafood to fill our stomachs, so I didn’t pay much attention. There are fish in the labyrinth sea as well. My ability to fly will be revealed by Labyrinth’s wings and Muscle star so it won’t rot anyway.

However, I’m curious about what Marie meant when she said, “If it were you.” She shouldn’t know about my ability to fly in the sky since that’s something I’ve never told anyone about. She might have noticed the time-related function of the magic bag. She’s probably aware of the time dilation function, but I doubt she knows about time stop. It should be fine even if she spreads the word about the fish. However, getting the fish wouldn’t be a problem if I ask Rain and Dyne to help, but the post-processing would be troublesome. I don’t want to deal with the innards of a large quantity of fish. The taste might deteriorate, but it would be fine to rapidly freeze them for transportation, I guess.

“Um, Yuta-san, it’s just a random idea, so it’s totally fine if it’s not possible.”

Marie approached me apologetically. It seems I made her feel uneasy since I was lost in thought. But seafood… If I bring back a lot, will it enhance the reputation of Spirit Users?

However, if it’s rare seafood, the influential figures might hoard it, and it won’t benefit the general public. Wealthy individuals can afford any materials from the 50th floor and beyond. I should think of a way to distribute it affordably to regular people.

“For now, I’ve come up with a plan, so I’ll try it next time.”

“Thank you very much.”

Marie looks delighted. Is she fond of seafood?

“Now then, are you planning to stay here? Or are you going somewhere else?”

“Huh? Oh yes, I’ll be overseeing the processing here. If you’re returning, feel free to use the carriage outside. Also, as for the payment for these materials, would it be okay to settle it later, like last time?”

“Yes, that’s fine. I’ll take my leave then. Goodbye.”

There’s no hurry since I still have plenty of funds. In fact, this payment might exceed the previous one even though there’s less meat. I have a feeling I won’t be able to spend it all.

———-

“The options are either to visit Torque-san’s inn or drop by Mel’s place. Which one do you guys want to go to first?”

After unloading the materials at the warehouse and returning to the mansion, it’s still morning, and it seems that adventurers from the guild are accompanying us. If the Adventurer Guild eliminates the troublesome solicitors, I should be able to walk around normally as long as I’m a bit careful.

“Which one?”

Bell tilts her head. Perhaps the explanation was a bit difficult?

“At Torque-san’s inn, we might be able to buy new dishes. At Mel’s place, we can meet Mel and Melal. Well, in the end, we’ll go to both places, so it’s about which one you want to visit first.”

When Silphy checked things out earlier, it seemed the new menu was very popular. If there’s room, I should be able to order it. Well, if it’s busy, I might have to wait until the next morning. I should let everyone know there’s a possibility of waiting.

“I want to eat delicious food!” Bell declares.

“Kyu!” Rain chimes in.

“New menu,” Toru says.

“Kukuu,” Tamamo agrees.

It seems Bell’s group wants to try delicious food.

“What about you, Sara?”

“Master, I’d like to see the new dishes,” Sara replies.

“I’m fine with either,” Marco says.

“Kikka wants to play with Mel-chan,” Kikka adds.

Alright, it seems the inn is more popular. I can’t help but feel concerned about Kikka and Mel playing together, but I’ll try to persuade Mel to put in some effort. Well then, let’s go to the inn first. I inform Sebastian that we’re going out and set off with Bell’s and Sara’s groups.

———-

It’s still early in the morning, so there don’t seem to be any customers waiting outside the inn. It’s a relief since it would be troublesome to talk with them. As I enter the inn, Martha immediately comes up to me.

“Welcome back! I was worried about you. I heard about the Adventurer Guild’s story. You were amazing. Why didn’t you stay at this inn? Where are you staying now? By the way, that recipe you gave us became a huge hit! It’s popular among men, so even customers who haven’t been here before are coming in! Ahahaha!”

As soon as we meet, she launches into rapid-fire talk. Her way of talking is just as lively as ever, leaving no room for me to interrupt.

“I caused you concern. I was just keeping a low profile because things were noisy around me. But now that it’s settled down, I plan to stay here the next time I visit the Labyrinth City.”

“Is that so? If you’re coming to stay, my husband will be delighted. Speaking of which, are you here to teach us another new recipe? We appreciate it, but my husband might end up pulling an all-nighter again.”

Torque-san seems to be cutting down on sleep. Hmm, is it okay to bring in even more materials like the Magma Fish and Dragon meat when he’s so busy? I was also thinking of asking Sara to teach him cooking, but it seems Torque-san might end up overworked.

“It’s not a new recipe, but I have a request that might make Torque-san go overboard a bit, and another one that will be quite demanding. If Torque-san is busy, it’s okay to decline.”

“I see. If it’s my husband going overboard, I’ll just kick him in the butt, so go ahead and tell me. Well, he is indeed busy, so he might not be able to handle it.”

So Torque-san gets kicked in the butt when he goes overboard. But if Martha is managing his health, then I feel relieved. If he rejects it, I’ll just find another way to handle the situation. I’ll consult with her even if it’s just to discuss it.
