Chapter 1226 Order

Abyssal Depths didn't ask for more details since Kyle was obviously not willing to share, but she was still quite surprised. What information had Kyle gotten that allowed him to blackmail Extended Family?
She thought of a couple of options but discarded most of them. In the end, she decided to believe Kyle's words, but she also reminded herself that Kyle was filled with secrets. Even though he seemed to trust her to a certain degree, there were still many things that he hadn't told her.
After a short break, everyone continued digging. They decided to keep going with their little funnel. Sadly, expanding it took a lot of time and effort.
"I'm running low on materials," Blue transmitted to the Formation Array Master of Team Wooly Sheep.
"I have plenty left," he answered. "What do you need?"
Kyle gave him an inventory, and moments later, he received a mountain of materials.
Kyle took out 20 Grade Nine Energy Stones and handed them to the Formation Array Master.
"Appreciated, but no need," he answered. "We're in this together."
"Just take them," Kyle transmitted. "We have an agreement. The fact that I don't have enough materials is my fault, not yours. Our team is already taking 90% of the loot."
"If you say so," the guy answered as he accepted the Energy Stones.
When the transaction was complete, Kyle got an idea. 'That's a good way to launder money! I can purchase materials from others at market price and slowly launder my Energy Stones. As long as I don't buy them in bulk from an actual market but from individual teams, chances are that nobody will notice. After all, nobody knows how many materials I'm carrying inside my Soul Space!'
The team continued. Progress was slow. The deeper they went, the more careful they had to be. After a decade of digging, they only managed to increase the depth of their hole by a factor of two.
While the team progressed, Kyle looked at Spring of Joy. 'She's trying to keep it hidden, but I can see signs of instability in her aura. The pressure is pretty intense down here. She's only a Beginner Immortal, and she doesn't use the Major Law of Primordial Forces as her Infused Law. That makes it harder for her to resist the gravity. She's also the only Beginner Immortal down here since Sebastian is guarding the entrance.'
"Need a break?" Kyle asked her.
"I'm the Guide," she answered with a smile. "I'm supposed to guide everyone."
"Nice way of dodging the question," Kyle replied with a playful smirk.
"Go up," the Leader of Team Wooly Sheep transmitted to Spring of Joy. "It's commendable that you're willing to push yourself for us, but if we get even deeper, you will become a liability. If something happens, we can't spare any resources to protect you."
Spring of Joy frowned for a moment before sighing. "You're right."
Spring of Joy went up and replaced one of the Adept Immortals guarding the hole. The Adept Immortal went deeper and resumed guarding. They needed another guard anyway.
Now, only Red, Abyssal Depths, and the Leader were left at the bottom. All of a sudden, this excavation started to feel even more dangerous.
'We're at a depth of millions of kilometers,' Kyle thought with a frown. 'There are only three of us at the bottom, but that's not even the only issue. If something happens near the entrance, it will take us an entire second to get there. That's more than enough time to finish an entire fight.'
The team resumed digging. They still hadn't found any notable valuables ever since they had found that huge chunk of Pure Ore, but they knew that it was only a matter of time until they found another treasure. They were digging at a depth that was considered very risky for Adept Immortal Excursion Teams. At this depth were valuables that even Minor Immortals cared about.
'Just a bit more,' Kyle thought as he focused on the surroundings. The gravity was so intense that the surroundings had already started to distort. The ground had become so hard that the Leader couldn't even destroy a kilometer of matter with an attack.
Suddenly, Kyle's eyes widened.
"Emergency order! Run out! To the entrance!" he transmitted to everyone.
The others didn't even hesitate. Leaders were the only ones who could give emergency orders, and they only gave them when they were certain that the team was in immense danger.
None of the others had noticed anything out of the ordinary, but they had seen how surprising and mysterious Kyle's identity was. He didn't seem like someone who gave such an order lightly.
All three of them shot upward.
They reached Blue, who had pocketed the bottom of the Vortex Creation Formation Array before joining them.
Nothing surprising had happened yet. Everything seemed normal.
They continued, and within an instant, they reached the Formation Array Master, who joined them as well.
At that moment, Kyle received an emergency alert from four of his Formation Arrays. They all sent the alert that a neighboring Formation Array had stopped responding. Naturally, all four of them had the same neighbor.
"Cave-in!" the last Adept Immortal guard transmitted with urgency. "The walls just below me exploded!"
"Source?" the Leader asked in the Excursion Lobby as the team kept ascending.
"Unknown!" the guard answered as he transmitted an image of an exploding wall. The debris of the exploding wall shot towards the other wall violently, which destroyed that one as well. A chain reaction took place, and soon, the entire funnel was coming down on them.
The shape of the funnel gave them an opening if there were a cave-in. After all, the walls would slide down, allowing them to escape by keeping to the other side. However, the way the wall had just exploded made that impossible. In fact, the funnel shape made it even worse! There was much more surface area to destroy, and all of that destroyed wall would gather in the middle.
The guard was put before a horrible choice. He could attack the falling debris below him, but the shockwaves could make it worse. Alternatively, he could also do nothing, but that also didn't feel right.
"Stay!" Kyle transmitted to the guard.
"Affirmative," the guard answered.
Then, Kyle told everyone around him what to do.
The atmosphere was tense as the ascending people waited for the cave-in to arrive. Right now, it was still outside the range of their Divine Consciousness, but it wouldn't stay like this for long.
An instant later, the Leader, the Formation Array Master, and Abyssal Depths narrowed their eyes. They finally saw the cave-in.
There was no way out. They could only see falling stones.
The Leader readied her fist.
The two sides came closer.
Everyone with a Primordial Force Domain activated it to expand the space between the rocks.
Finally, the Leader released a punch towards the cave-in.
BANG!
The walls around them exploded, but the rockslide was pushed back. Sadly, just moments later, it accelerated again. The rockslide consisted of individual rocks, but the Leader's attack had pushed them together. The rocks on top of the bottom rocks pushed down, and soon, the rockslide was just as fast as before. However, a bunch of rocks was also pushed to the side. Due to the expanded space, the team managed to move past kilometers of rocks.
BANG!
Abyssal Depths kicked upward, making the clearing even wider.
Tons upon tons of rocks passed them.
BANG!
The Formation Array Master also used his Imposing Law to attack the avalanche.
By now, they had gotten past most of the rockslide, but the Adept Immortals were also almost out of Energy. Only Red and Blue had any Energy left.
Kyle narrowed his eyes.
