So why have you not all joined the discord yet? I want to talk about Vtubers and YYY with everyone! What the heck. You’re all such a disappointment. Oh yeah here’s some new WN that our other TLer is Translating, whatever I guess.
I was kicked from the party
rawr:
It was supposed to be a morning like any other.
In the inn of the royal capital's adventurers guild building.
In the cafeteria are breakfast meetings, quest confirmations, and gear checking…however.
That day, a despairing phrase was told to Tanya.
“Sorry, Tanya. You’re fired”
“……… What!?”
She could not understand the situation. Tanya let out a truly stupefied sounding voice.
The man who told Tanya she was fired; the leader of Tanya’s adventurer party and her childhood friend of the same town, Ryan, who was also from the same year in adventurer school. Even being the same age, 25 years old, they had started this party together 5 years earlier.
"No no no no no, being kicked out is sort of!… As expected, I don't understand!"
"It’s painful for me as well. But since I'm the leader, thinking about this party's future, it's a hard decision, Honey."
"Who are you calling honey! My ass; don't touch my ass! There's no understandable reason and saying I'm fired, this is no joke!"
She scowled at Ryan who gave no explanation.
A vague smile appeared on his face. A disgusting smile that happens when someone's trying to lie.
"That's cuz, yah see. Tanya's a woman, you see?"
Because I'm a woman.
What?
To say it's because I'm a woman. This guy, is that what he really just said?
"……What do you mean?"
With these words, Tanya was shaking with rage.
Surrounding them were the party members watching the development and holding their breaths in fear.
"I told yah, if you change your class to healer, besides being helpful in raising children, you can even work for a clinic. Ah, a clinic huh. Just kidding!"
Let's smash this guy's jaw in, or so I thought.
Ryan would say at every opportunity "women should really be healers after all!" But to use me being a sorcerer as the reason for fire me.
"Being an adventurer in the end is a contest of strength, so I think it should be a job done by guys after all. In particular, Tanya's occupation; dealing with a sorcerer's large-scale magic attacks. It's just dangerous."
"Just what in the world are you saying?! The other day during the quest, without my magic we would have been annihilated!"
"That just happened by chance you see."
"Just by chance?"
Tanya felt as if the ground underneath her feet was crumbling away. *
By chance? To say the things I have been doing until now were, everything, just a coincidence?
To begin with a sorcerer is a high-level class. After passing the royal sorcerer's school, it was mandatory to attend the adventurer school.
I had persuaded the elderly in the countryside, who think even now, "for a woman to aim to be an adventurer is bad", and entered the royal sorcerer's school.
Every night, to not lose to anyone, I studied frantically and practiced the practical aspects more than anyone else.
From when I was young, to our time in adventurer's school, I have not lost to Ryan once, be it academically or in practical skills. In the first place, I graduated top of the class.
After all of that, to just be abruptly kicked from the party with the reason being "because you are a girl"…
"For that, there's no way can I agree to that!"
She raised her voice into nearly that of a shout and the people in their surroundings looked over.
In that moment, Tanya noticed something that sent a shiver down her spine.
Guys.
The adventurers gathered in the inn's dining hall.
Almost everyone there, were nothing but guys.
Elves, dwarves, humans, and beastmen.
Their races varied but there were nothing but guys here.
"But,"
Certainly, in both the adventurer school and sorcerer school it was 80% males.
The only department popular with girls was the healer training school.
And so those girls were usually called "the party's flower" by their knights in shining armor, but in actuality there were plenty who immediately, with a male warrior or mage, marry and retire.
"Like I said, Tanya. I'm thinking of the best for you."
So, Ryan announced.
This party's leader is Ryan.
The words of the adventurer guild's constitution in the first paragraph of article 34 floated across Tanya's mind.
—The personal affairs of party members are managed by the leader, failing that it is decided by the will of the majority.
"Everyone, is this really fine?"
All the members nodded their head deeply.
In agreement with the leader's proposal.
Approval, in the majority.
Why.
Why has this happened.
Slowly, as if reflecting on it, Ryan announced.
"With that, Tanya. From this day onwards, please retire from this party."
Seriously don't screw with me, I'll beat ya to death.
So, Tanya thought.
