"Everything is in the backpack; we lost all our things." Fang Xue's face turned red. Speaking of why she and Yu Mu ended up in this situation, it was entirely because of her.

Di Jiu frowned and did not continue to ask how Yu Mu and Fang Xue ended up here.

Seeing Di Jiu frown, Fang Xue quickly said, "Yu Mu and I, along with two other companions, went to visit the Wuchuan Temple. I don't know why, but I suddenly saw a wooden bridge I had never seen before. I've been to Wuchuan Temple a few times, and there was never such a wooden bridge before. I thought it was a new attraction, so I stepped onto the bridge. Unexpectedly, as soon as I stepped on the bridge, I saw several gray wolves. I was so scared that I ran as fast as I could..."

Yu Mu continued, "When I saw Fang Xue running, I followed her. Fang Xue said there were several gray wolves. Although I didn't see them, I didn't think she was lying. In the end, we lost all our bags and phones along the way. Now we are completely lost. For the past few days, we have been eating wild fruits, roots, and a few pieces of chocolate."

"Did you really see the wolves?" Di Jiu was a bit puzzled. Logically, since Wuchuan Temple is a tourist attraction, it shouldn't be possible for several gray wolves to appear there.

Fang Xue hesitated for a moment and then said, "At the time, I definitely saw them. Later, I also suspected that I might have been mistaken. Wuchuan Temple is on the outer edge of the Wuchuan Mountains, which is separated from the dangerous areas. How could there be wolves?"

"How many days have you been in here?"

"Probably two or three days. We have been running and in fear for the past few days, so we're not quite sure how long it has been..." After answering Di Jiu's question, Fang Xue hesitated and looked at Di Jiu, asking, "Big Brother, are you also lost like us?"

Di Jiu nodded, "Yes, I'm also lost. My name is Di Jiu. You can call me by my name. There's a lake not far from here. Let's go to the lakeside and stay for the night, get some food, and then continue looking for a way out tomorrow."

"Ah..." Just as Di Jiu finished speaking, Fang Xue exclaimed again, sounding frightened, "I see the wooden bridge again, right over there."

Di Jiu and Yu Mu looked in the direction Fang Xue was pointing, but there was no bridge. Fang Xue was pointing at a thicket.

Yu Mu also felt something was wrong and her face turned pale. She didn't see the wooden bridge, but she vaguely sensed a shadow disappearing in the direction of the thicket.

Di Jiu grabbed Fang Xue's wrist and immediately felt the coldness. He took out a herb and gave it to Fang Xue, "Chew this herb and swallow it. Yu Mu, help me look at this map."

Di Jiu, who originally planned to rest here for the night, now abandoned that idea. He felt something was strange and didn't think Fang Xue was hallucinating about the thicket being a wooden bridge.

As long as Yu Mu could recognize the directions on the map, he was willing to travel through the night.

The map Di Jiu took out was a flat landscape map. Although it had north, south, east, and west marked, Di Jiu didn't recognize any of the forests, cliffs, or valleys on it.

"I know, this forest leads to Wuchuan Temple..." Yu Mu exclaimed with joy when she saw Di Jiu take out the map. Her joy was short-lived, and she said somewhat disappointedly, "Unfortunately, we don't have a compass, so we can only wait until tomorrow to leave."

Fang Xue, who had swallowed the herb, gradually calmed down. She added, "We can only rest for a day and then leave. Yu Mu doesn't have the strength to walk at all."

"I have a compass. If you can't walk, I'll carry you. We must leave now. If you don't want to go, I'll go first." Di Jiu took out the compass and said without hesitation.

After speaking, Di Jiu took out two pieces of dry noodles and handed them to Fang Xue and Yu Mu.

He had also seen the shadow of the wooden bridge and was sure Fang Xue wasn't hallucinating. Standing in this place, he always felt something was wrong.

"Compass!" Yu Mu and Fang Xue both stared excitedly at the compass in Di Jiu's hand. With the compass and the map, they were sure they could find their way out.

"Thank you, Big Brother Di." Although it was their first meeting, Yu Mu knew that the only way to get out was to let Di Jiu carry her. As for the dry noodles Di Jiu gave them, it was like a gift in the snow.

Di Jiu carried Yu Mu and walked directly in the direction of Wuchuan Temple.

Carrying Yu Mu, Di Jiu felt two soft masses pressing against his back, which gave him a pleasant surprise. His surprise wasn't about the softness but about his physical strength.

Because he couldn't practice martial arts, Di Jiu had been learning various scientific and medical knowledge, which naturally made his physical strength poor. This time, carrying Yu Mu didn't feel particularly strenuous. It seemed his physical strength had more than doubled. Di Jiu looked down at his chest and was sure that the gray stone was still the source of his changes.

No wonder he didn't feel much strain when climbing up from the cliff.

"Big Brother Di, are you also here for a trip?" The surroundings were too quiet, so Yu Mu asked a question.

"Yes." Di Jiu answered casually and then stopped talking.

Seeing that Di Jiu had no interest in talking, Yu Mu and Fang Xue didn't dare to speak after finishing the dry noodles. In the forest with a bit of moonlight, only the sound of their footsteps could be heard.

Di Jiu's physical strength was much better than before, but carrying Yu Mu continuously was still tiring.

The three of them walked and rested intermittently. Fortunately, nothing happened during the night. By the next morning, a ray of sunlight shone down, and the three of them walked out of the forest and appeared on a mountaintop.

"There's still nothing to see here." Fang Xue looked at the misty distance and said worriedly.

Yu Mu also couldn't see anything. Both of them could only wait for Di Jiu to speak. Although they knew the forest on the Wuchuan Mountains map led to Wuchuan Temple, they had never been there.

At this moment, Di Jiu was amazed by his own vision. While Fang Xue and Yu Mu couldn't see anything, he could vaguely make out a few buildings in the distance. He was sure his eyesight wasn't this strong before, indicating that the pale golden lightning had changed his body comprehensively.

However, when he first changed, he was shocked by the news from Qu Xiaoshu and then fled from Ji State.

...

As soon as they left the forest, the uncomfortable feeling disappeared.

"Let's rest for half a day and then continue walking." After a night, Di Jiu was already exhausted.

"Big Brother Di, thank you. If you hadn't saved me, I would have died in the Wuchuan Mountains." Yu Mu, who had rested on Di Jiu's back all night, could barely stand up.

Di Jiu smiled, "I just happen to know some medical knowledge and the method to detoxify snake venom."

"Big Brother Di, did you graduate from a medical school?" Fang Xue looked at Di Jiu with some expectation. She and Yu Mu were both from medical school, but they were helpless against that snake venom. Di Jiu's treatment of Yu Mu's snake venom seemed simple.
