The pungent smell of perfume covered the entire broadcasting studio. When the last comrade, Ma-tongxue, also drenched in perfume from head to toe,Elwas finally drained to the bottom.
Little Landmine sighed faintly. It was certainly pleasant to spray perfume in the way of watering flowers with a spray bottle, but after the pleasure, it was inevitable to look at the exquisitely empty vessel with melancholy: “I may not be able to use up half the bottle even after two years. . .”
Ma Weisen was already baring his teeth at the overwhelming scent and felt like he would have a breakdown after hearing those words: “So why did you have to spray us with so much of it? You are even crazier than my mom, Every time I. . .Achu! I wanted to ask her if she didn’t smell so good would thesquare dance teamnot accept her. . .”
“If you don’t want to die, then shut up.” Qiao Siqi slapped the other on the top of his head and directly shoved him to the back. In half a second he put on a pitiful look and approached Qi Yan, “Why must it be me. . .”
The latter put the cardboard box reinforced with tape over Qiao Siqi’s head, and the two small holes dug out on the wall of the box were lined up exactly with the eyes of the person within it: “Try it.”
Qiao Siqi wanted to cry but had no tears as he obediently crouched down. The cardboard box shifted lower and lower with his body until it finally touched the ground, perfectly concealing the slender Qiao-tongxue.
“Field of vision?”
“Clear.”
“Room?”
“Sufficient.”
“. . .”
“Is it good enough?” The aggrieved voice sounded muffled through the cardboard box, adding to his sorrow.
The companions who were watching the fun were falling over themselves in merriment.
Qi Yan finally showed some kindness: “En, it’s done.”
Worried about damaging the only cardboard box available, Qiao Siqi could only restrain himself no matter how eager he was to get out of it. He carefully spent a long time before finally getting the thing off his body.
Just as he stood up and attempted to make a final stand, Zhou Yilu patted his shoulder approvingly: “It fits perfectly, it’s a saintly garment made just for you!”
Qiao Siqi really wanted to chomp down on that impertinent finger that belongs to a person who is all talk because words are physically painless and bite it off: “Which saint dons on their holy garment while squatting!”
Wang Qingyuan pushed his glasses up and explained enthusiastically: “Including both classes, only you and Zhou Yilu have practical experience in the ‘cardboard box technique’. You saw it too just now, the box is too narrow, he can’t slip it over at all, thus this glorious and life-threatening task now belongs to you.”
“I don’t like your second adjective. . . And it’s just squatting inside to guard the elevator and survey the battlefield ahead. You don’t need to move at all, what experience is neededah?”
Wang Qingyuan: “Sure, just pretend that no experience is needed. Among our male classmates, tell me who else can fit in?”
Qiao Siqi: “Why must it be a male classmate ne, female classmates also work ah, Little Landmine and Huang Mo are both thin-da!”
Wang Qingyuan: “. . .”
Qiao Siqi: “Ai ai, where are you going, don’t goah. . .”
Wang-tongxueturned a deaf ear to John’s calls. The line of fire has spread to a dangerous area, the beststrategywas the thirty-sixth one, a strategic retreat.
All the male classmates also turned to look away silently, pretending that they were not present.
Qiao Siqi glanced at the gentle smiling faces of Lin Dilei and Huang Mo and after a delayed realization, his scalp broke out in goosebumps. He swallowed nervously and waved his hands vigorously: “No, that’s not it, that’s not what I meant. How could I let you two take risksne, I was just speaking casually, I didn’t think about it at all. . .”
“It doesn’t matter,” Huang Mo interrupted him gently, “No need to explain.”
Lin Dilei’s eyebrows were curved, her voice similar to a peaceful breeze or light drizzle: “We’re all sisters, we won’t shrink back.”
Qiao Siqi really wanted to have a good crying jag, he had never been so determined to fight for his life: “I’m going to rush to the frontlines now, can I continue to maintain my manly status. . .”
Qiao Siqi completed his pre-war mobilization here and Song Fei, who was wrapping up his desk work, finally retired his pen.
The companions were busy preparing, packing things, arming themselves, and those who were quick to get ready, such as Qi Yan, Wang Qingyuan, and Little Landmine were trying to persuade the vanguard soldier utilizing reason and an emotional appeal—After all, once Qiao Siqi was dispatched to the front lines, it meant that the battle officially begun. In the tactics where every link had to be closely chained together, there was no extra time to get ready—So only until now did everyone take note of Song Fei’s bizarre behavior.
Qi Yan was the first one to approach. Without asking extraneous questions, he directly picked up the A4 paper and saw that it was densely packed with words, no, it should be said that it was a letter.
“It’s a notela.” Song Fei grabbed it feeling a little embarrassed as he placed it back on the table.
Qi Yan smiled but didn’t say anything, anyway, he had already grasped the other’s intentions after a casual skim.

If you are reading this letter alone, then we hope you understand that you are not alone, nor are you fighting alone. All the students in the school are connected with you in heart and hand in hand; If you are a group, then we can say responsibly as an experienced party that unity is strength. Don’t give up on any companion, because they may turn out with a jeep, a drone, a drum that will shake the sky, a triangle (cross out this last one), and other RMB props that you can’t even imagine, but will be absolutely useful.
In summary, I wish you or you all good luck.Muah!
PS. Do not destroy this after reading, please put the letter back in its original place and leave it for the students behind you.
PPS. Have you passed the CET-4 and CET-6 exams? If not, take advantage of this opportunity to memorize more vocabulary. You are idling away anyway and what if you have to take the make-up exam right after school reopens? We must win at the starting line!
——Mighty and Unyielding Fighting for Survival Class 1 & 2
Reading it up to the middle, the companions were all moved by Song Fei’s thoughtfulness.
After such a broadcast, perhaps most of the students who have the conditions to, will still choose to stay and wait for help, but there must be students who have run out of ammunition or food and must escape. Then there will be a 99% chance that their first choice would be to head here. However, if they make it here and find no one present, even the strongest beliefs may be shaken or even collapse. What Song Fei left behind was not so much a letter, but a message of hope.
The companions even understood Song Fei’s use of psychological logic—He used the broadcast to lure people over, so he must be responsible to the end, and pass on the courage from beginning to end, this wasn’t due to his conscience, this was his obligation.
Yet after reading the latter part, the companions suppressed their emotions and strongly felt that Song Fei signed the letter as the two Wusheng classes and not with his own name was definitely because he was afraid that the students who read the letter would retaliate after returning to school in the future!
However, no matter, this was a shining message letter after all and the companions didn’t understand what there was to hide.
Ma Weisen tossed the question out directly: “What are you embarrassed about?”
Song Fei lowered his head silently and pursed his lips, an extremely shy visage.
The companions made a face, they always felt that theimpulseto readily beat him up was twitching in their muscles and they couldn’t wait for the answer any longer.
Qi Yan took the opportunity to wrap an arm around hisBF’s shoulders, holding him in his arms, acting a little doting for the first time: “There are only a few things in this world that can make him feel embarrassed and ugly handwriting is one of them.”
Song Fei rolled his eyes at him in a sorry manner: “You can see through it, but you mustn’t give voice to it, don’t you understand!”
Qi Yan chuckled, his eyes full of rippling flowers of love.
All the companions were silent with blank faces.
When quarreling, affection can shine through, when soaked through, intimate care can be shown, and now when it’s merely a matter of the singular word “ugly”, love can be lost . . .En, they should just quietly watch the two demonstrate their care, after all the more fanatical the love is, the more tragic and stimulating the breakup will be,ah, ahah, ahahah. . .
Song Fei: “Did you guys hear something?”
Qi Yan: “En?”
Song Fei: “Forget it, maybe I’m just overly sensitive, I always feel like there is a sinister wind brushing by my ear. . .”
Five minutes later, the sixteen companions were fully ready.
Qi Yan took the cell phone, which was wrapped in paper and a dense layer of tape, with only a small speaker hole exposed, and placed it on the ground with the door open after the nearby zombies had wandered a little further away in the corridor, swiftly pushing it a few meters out!
Kuang Ye watched his phone slide further and further away, his heart filling with despair.
The cell phone that was sacrificed this time was decided by drawing lots, so the “intimate comrade-in-arms”, who had already escaped death once was pushed to the front lines again, and it was estimated that the possibility of picking it back up like last time was very slim.
The comrades-in-arms also considered adopting his suggestion to tie a rope and pull it back after use, but considering that the situation was different from that time in Ximo pavilion, he and Song Fei had been on top of the pavilion that time, so even if there was a rope, the zombies couldn’t capture them, but now there are low windows. If the zombies follow the rope and insist on breaking through the window, the situation will easily get out of control.
Kuang Ye accepted his fate because he was destined to lose his cell phone.
The sound of the cell phone striking the ground attracted the attention of the zombies. When Qi Yan closed the window, the zombies had already run back. Just when they were struggling at the crossroads of life and death, whether to look down at the cell or continue to push forward to the window, the alarm rang and it was still that same type of brisk rhythm of a European or American girl, singingI really like you, chipping away with perseverance.
—There was no doubt that Kuang Ye was not the most refined student in the Wusheng classes in terms of musical tastes.
Through the gaps in the blinds, everyone clearly saw that there were more and more zombies surrounding the mobile phone. They came from both ends of the corridor, but the point at which they concentrated their forces was also the final static point and resting place of the cell, which was seven or eight meters to the left of the broadcasting room and the elevator was one meter to the right of the broadcasting room.
The corridor without lights on was only dimly lit by the moonlight. Even the screen that lit up when the alarm rang returned to darkness as time passed by. In addition, the Wusheng classes had turned off the lights in the broadcasting room in advance, thus the entire third floor of the academic building seemed to be hidden in the shadow of the night.
“Plan A–Part 1,go!”
As Song Fei gave the order with an almost inaudible breath, Qi Yan opened the door again, the decisive speed and quietness of the action forming a strong contrast.
The three musketeers of the sports department—Zhao He, Fu Xiyuan, and Wu Zhou, along with Zhou Yilu and Qiao Siqi who held the empty box, tiptoed out, like silent ghosts, delicately gliding towards the elevator.
Soon, the sound of the elevator doors slowly opening passed through the gap of the broadcasting room door that hadn’t yet fully closed.
The zombies surrounding the mobile phone didn’t notice it at all, but the comrades crowded around the sliver of the door still detected this slow audio noise within the cacophony caused by the loud female voice.
Everyone held their breaths and those who were able to stick their heads out to take a look at the left, monitored the zombies from afar, while their ears were perked to the right, listening closely to their comrades!
In just a moment, the elevator doors smoothly drew close again.
The companions understood that it meant that there were no zombies in the elevator compartment and the disguised Qiao Siqi had successfully entered!
Outside the elevator, Zhou Yilu and the three musketeers of the sports department stared at the floor number intently without blinking, watching as it changed from1toB1,B2, before coming to a stand still.
The waiting period.
Was but a few seconds.
However, for the four people in the elevator, nothing could be longer than this.
Wu Zhou, who was in charge controlling the rhythm, counted silently in his mind, one, two, three. . . When he reached the fifth number, he swiftly pressed the up button!
After a while, the floor number ticked again.
B1,1, stop.
The four people gripped the curtain in their hands, their muscles tensed, and watched the elevator doors slowly open without blinking.
First there was a slight gap.
Then it gradually widened. . .
Everything was the same as Qi Yan and Wang Qingyuan’s analysis. There were two more zombies in the elevator that originally only contained the Qiao-style cardboard box and they were currently circling the box dumbly—No, it was more optimistic than what the think tank had predicted. They guessed that three to four curious zombies would be brought up based on the capacity of the elevator, which was why they chose four people to guard the door, but now, they could fight two against one.
The space between the opened doors was just a palm wide, and the four people outside had quickly leapt to both sides of the elevator doors and pressed themselves against the wall.
The zombies in the elevator didn’t notice the figures that flashed by, all their attention still consumed by the strange cardboard box.
The cardboard box was motionless and as stable as a rock. Even if you hung a piece of paper in front of the two holes now, it wouldn’t be blown a millimeter—Since the elevator doors opened on theB2floor, Qiao-tongxuehad been holding his breath+petrified for the longest time in his life. Let alone a strip of paper, even if one were to put a life detector in front of the box at this moment, there may be a chance that the breath of the living may not be detected inside.
The four on the outside didn’t need to look with their eyes, they only needed to use their ears to listen. Finally, the elevator doors were nearly fully open. Wu Zhou and Zhao He, who were standing immediately to both sides, stormed in first, one person, one curtain, directly pulled over the heads of the two zombies. Before the other party reacted, they stabbed their heads with a few strikes through the curtains!
When the two zombies collapsed in the arms of Wu Zhou and Zhao He, Zhou Yilu and Fu Xiyuan had already removed the box and breathed life back into Qiao-tongxuewithin.
Everything happened in just a few moments.
As the elevator door slowly closed, the five people worked together to gently put the zombie’s bodies in the corners of the elevator. Then they peered around the corner to confirm that it was safe, and silently scampered back to the broadcasting room.
The door of the broadcasting room, which had been left ajar all this time, finally sealed up again.
The hearts of all the companions finally settled down.
The song in the corridor had not yet been finished, and in the flowing notes, it seemed as if nothing had happened.
“The elevator has a load capacity of one ton and is limited to13people. There were only two zombies outside theB2elevator, which I brought up with me. The situation in the parking lot is unclear, but there is no longer any problem in the area theB2elevator is located.” Now every second count, even Qiao Siqi, someone who was as casual and lackadaisical as he was, became serious. Without waiting for his friends to ask, he directly reported the situation from the frontlines.
“Ok, split into two groups, seven at a time. Form up with six on the team first and add Luo Geng and I later, the rest of you, head over first, follow Wang Qingyuan!”
Li Jingyu immediately objected: “Try to get more people on the first try ba, if the zombies in the corridor react, it will be easier to escape with fewer people left behind.”
“That won’t do,” Song Fei rejected it without thinking, “The weight limit and the actual situation are two different things, if the overload warning goes off, it won’t be worth it!”
He Zhiwen: “That was the case in the Gewu building. The weight limit was13people, but it will always go off when there are only eight!”
Li Jingyu: “I have no more questions!”
Song Fei: “Plan A–Part 2,go!”
The alarm that has been set to the longest duration seems as if it will never stop. The zombies that were crowded in the innermost circle had already picked it up, yet they couldn’t tear off the tape which made them so annoyed that they hurled it against the ground. Because of the thick tape, the mobile phone was still intact and continued to sing.
Sixteen figures filed out from the broadcasting room door that was opened again.
The parked elevator doors reopened on the first floor, Wang Qingyuan swiftly retrieved the cardboard box while Li Jingyu, Lin Dilei, Huang Mo, He Zhiwen, Feng Qibai, Ma Weisen, and Kuang Ye quickly darted in. Finally, Wang Qingyuan, who had moved the cardboard box out, was the last to enter the space. At the same time, Lin Dilei decisively pressed theB2button!
The elevator with the newly closed doors gradually sank downwards and finally stopped atB2.
The eight people left behind couldn’t see what the others saw, nor could they hear the sounds from the underground floor, so they could only pray in their hearts that everything would go well.
Finally, feeling that the time was about right, the eight people exchanged glances, nodding simultaneously in the silence as Qi Yan pressed the down button.
The elevator rose once more, halting at the first floor and the door opened up bit by bit.
The hearts of the eight were in their throats.
—Fortunately, there was no one left inside.
This proved that their companions successfully snuck into the parking lot as per the original plan!
Qi Yan, Zhou Yilu, Qiao Siqi, Zhao He, Fu Xiyuan, Wu Zhou, Song Fei, and Luo Geng were among the eight who stayed behind. Song Fei and Luo Geng were tasked to help the previous group cover the rear while the other six were those truly part of the car seeking team—Qiao Siqi, needless to say, was one of the drivers; While Zhou Yilu was the only one who really liked cars, could drive amongst all the bookworms in the two Wusheng classes, and passed the driving test. It was over for the rest after the test as disregarding reversing and driving up slopes, even whether they could smoothly turn in aS-curve was unknown; The three musketeers of the sports department were selected entirely due to their speed+combat prowess to aid in their car seeking behavior and the generative force behind any maneuvering; As for Qi Yan, he had the dual identity of a nerd+combativeness. After all, there were only two sets of car keys found in the basketball hall, and Zhou Yilu, no matter how powerful he was, could not drive two cars by himself, thus after comprehensive consideration, Qi Yan, who believed that he could tackle an automatic transmission, took on the responsibility of being the third driver.
Song Fei lunged forward and rushed into the elevator first, swiftly jabbing theB2button, he then pressed and held onto another button to keep the doors open, signaling his companions to join him post haste.
The music in the corridor suddenly faded. It was the end of the song and the prelude was gradually picking up in a second round!
Although the companions had lightened the sound of their footsteps, they were used to the noisy environment after all. They were not so quiet that it was completely silent, so when the music faded, the sound of their footsteps stood out like a sore thumb.
Song Fei’s heart squeezed, and he quickly dragged Zhao He, who was last, in, then instantly mashed the door closing button.
However, the door was slow to close.
Footsteps were approaching from the corridor.
Song Fei was so anxious that he was about to lose it, and the seven of them were so tense that they almost suffocated when the elevator finally responded!
Dududu—
The seven were shocked and instantly communicated with some kind of telepathy in an instant, glaring at Zhao He in unison at the same time, the type of glare where their eyes were about to pop out!
The one who was glared at had no time to cry out for injustice, nor could he care about staying quiet any longer. With his rich experience, he gave instructions at this critical moment: “Stand apart a bit, let the weight be distributed evenly!”
The seven companions moved decisively and scattered in all directions.
Thedudusound disappeared just as the first zombie appeared at the corner of the elevator area.
But it was a step too late after all as the elevator doors slid shut steadily and went down without any reluctance.
The descending companions breathed a sigh of relief and leaned against the wall of the elevator in apprehension.
Zhao He was also drenched in cold sweat.
F*ck, thank goodness.
—Matters of overcapacity, he was a professional.
Author’s Chapter Summary: Techniques and tactics are closely linked together, the vehicular seeking team brought up the rear in a moment of terror
The translator has something to say: a lot of fast-paced action in this chapter, it is getting smoother and faster for them to come up with plans and execute them and QSQ continues to dig their own grave, SF is still too clever for his own good (but also the one with the best emotional intelligence) while the rest of the classes keep getting slapped in the face by more PDA even when it is neither physical nor intimate (which I feel some times is worse, it’s always the little things)

Heyo, long time again, I’m sorry for the inconsistent updates, this recent chaos can be attributed to (drumroll please) a new job! Yay! Indeed I’m starting a new job soon and there was just a bunch of onboarding tasks I had to complete and such, so sorry for the delay. However, hopefully with my new work schedule and work structure, I’ll actually be able to post chapters more consistently! I did also take some time off in between switching jobs to try and stockpile on some chapters, which, didn’t go as well as I had hoped actually. I was overly ambitious and was hoping to translate at least two chapters per day, but errr, it didn’t actually work out like that. Partially because I reached a very emotionally heavy part of the story which made it difficult for me to translate in one sitting and also because the length of some recent chapters are really long which I’d rather not chop the chapters and leave you guys on a cliff hanger to give myself more translating time or would you guys actually prefer shorter sections but more frequent and consistent (hopefully) updates? And finally, I know I am very bad at replying to comments, I am sorry, hopefully I start getting into the habit of doing so now because I do like discussions of plot and reading your lovely insights despite errr how old some of these comments will be haha
But seriously, thank you all for sticking with me so far and sorry for the long ramble
