Unable to find any satisfying fan-fiction of this type. They're either self-indulgent, filled with power fantasies and harems, or they portray the main characters as brainless idiots. It made me cringe so much that I decided to write my own novel. Of course, because it's an older anime and my writing is limited, I know it won't have many readers, but I accept that! To help the protagonist fit in, I added some original plot points, but it won't affect the experience for those familiar with the original work. Readers who haven't seen the anime shouldn't worry either; I'll explain the setting, so it's easy to follow even without prior knowledge. However, this makes the beginning a bit weak... I... I...
