“I will gather all the explorers before heading there, so you go first!”

Sakai screamed as he went out the door, and went towards the lobby.

“Got it!”

As Ritsu replied, he and Sayuki jumped down from the building.

“If, a stampede did take place, how bad would it be?”

Ritsu asked Sayuki while running towards the labyrinth.

“I have never seen a stampede before, but I’ve heard it can be devastating for a city with low-level defenses.”

“We should hurry up in that case. Let’s power-up ourselves and run.”

Ritsu circulated Ki all over his body, and immediately accelerated.

“Is that fine? If you do that, there’s a chance your status as Ousei would be revealed.”

Sayuki hurriedly strengthened her body to match Ritsu’s pace.

“Actually, it’s not that important a secret. I only refrained from telling you, since I felt it would lead to more troublesome things down the road. I apologize. It can’t be helped if it is an emergency.”

Ritsu replied while smiling awkwardly.

“Is that so…”

Sayuki averted her eyes apologetically.

“I see it. It doesn’t look like they’ve rushed out of the labyrinth yet.”

Ritsu jumped on the walls surrounding the labyrinth, and looked at the entrance.

“What’s the current situation?”

Sayuki asked the gatekeeper, which ran over to them.

“The 2nd floor has been broken through! It won’t be long before they make it to the surface! Now that it’s come to this, we’ll take them on outside! Help us!”

The injured gatekeepers here and there were convinced of them being reinforcements, and explained the situation.

“Are there people inside right now?”

“Some people chose to remain as a wall.”

The moment Ritsu uttered those words, the ramparts covering the entrance to the labyrinth broke apart, and many explorers came flying out with tremendous force.

“Oi! They’ll come out any moment now! Prepare to attack!!!”

A man carrying a person in his arms, and running out at an incredible speed, raised an alarm.

“Yuu!!?”

She raised a panicking voice, as she saw the person that was being carried by the man.

“Misumi-san, they’re coming.”

Ritsu stopped Sayuki who was about to run out, and drew a sword from his shadow.

“Coming…….”

Loud footsteps directly reverberating to one’s heart rang out, and tightened the string of tension of all the explorers surrounding the entrance.

“UWAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

When they thought they were finally here, a boy ran desperately from the entrance, from which an avalanche of monsters poured out.

“Ren!!?”

Sayuki raised her voice again.

“UWAAAAAAA!!!”

Trying to save the boy desperately, the explorers near the entrance tried cutting apart the monsters to move forward, but couldn’t reach him.The boy got hit by a goblin and fell onto the ground.

“Stop it!!”

Yuu, who was being carried by a man earlier, woke up and screamed while still being carried.

Right before the boy had his life reaped by the goblin’s blow, Ritsu flew in a straight line with such intensity, that felt as if a wall had partially cracked apart, and had lightly veiling himself in cherry blossom petals.

“[Sakura Ichi-monji].”

He lands on top of the goblin that was about to attack the boy, crushing it, and swung his sword sideways.

As if rippling the path through which the sword was swung, waves of cherry blossoms spread out. After a while, the goblins’ upper body made a vivid noise, and slid to the ground.

“Kid! Get up, we’ll retreat to the wall for now.”

Ritsu drags the arm of the boy sitting flat on his butt on the ground, while slashing at the goblins to who were out his attack’s range, as well as the ones that had recovered.

(I can’t hit a powerful AoE attack as long as this kid’s next to me… If I had been upfront about being an Ousei and had insisted on doing this alone then this wouldn’t have… I have no choice but to annihilate them after returning him.)

Ritsu fought and swung at his enemies while protecting the boy, and making his way to the wall.

(If only he stood up, then at least my arms would be free.)

“KID!!”

Ritsu shook the dumbfounded boy by the arm.

“Y,-es. Yes! Ah!”

Seeing the boy reply properly, while also shaking, Ritsu covered him with petals and launched him over the wall.

“UWAAAAAAAA!!”

The boy who blown to the ground near the wall, desperately conveyed Ritsu’s words to the surrounding explorers.

“An AoE attack is coming! Please wait on top of the wall!”

The explorers who rushed to the boy that had flown in suddenly, reacted to his words.

“AoE? Did that guy who flew over there say that?”

The explorers all looked at Ritsu from a distance, who was defeating hoards of monsters using tremendous force.

“Yes! In any case! Please hurry.”

“Oi! Everyone! Evacuate this place now!”

The explorers who heard that, came over.

“What’s wrong!? If we don’t defeat them, the wall will come falling down!”

“We’ll evacuate for now! An AoE attack is coming!”

“Wait! Those nee-chans have gone pretty far ahead!”

The gathered explorer looked at Sayuki and Yuu who were cutting down goblins, as he said that.

“Nee-sans…”

The boy muttered while staring at the two that were fighting at a distance.

“Did they go ahead on their own?”

“Yeah, they made their own way…”

“We have to do something about those young misses.”

The explorer who first heard the boy out, said that.

“Lad, your name?”

“It’s Ren.”

“I feel bad about that guy, but it doesn’t seem like we can retreat.”

As the explorers nod to each other, they start heading towards the monsters again.

“Please wait!!”

Ren looked at the explorers that had stopped, with conviction in his eyes.

“That person is an Ousei of the Yozakura school. The retreating orders are to be treated as those from an Ousei, is what he said.”

“”………….””

The explorers widened their eyes, and looked over at Ritsu as if to confirm.

“Is that, true?”

“Yes, there’s no mistaking it. Most likely, he can’t release a powerful attack if there are others around him.”

Ren looked up at the explorers as he said that.

“Oi, you lot. Except for the strong ones, all of you evacuate to the top of the wall. The small group will head out and fetch those young misses.”

“But, Ryukawa-san, those two look like they’ve already reached the Ousei.”

One explorer said while looking at them.

“Yeah, I guess. Ousei-san would surely do something if they’re all the way there. Okay! Our job is over! Let’s make our way to the top of the wall!”

Upon hearing Ryukawa’s command, the explorers rushed to the top of the wall, while only Ren looked at Sayuki and Yuu worriedly.

“Nee-chan…”
